Pregnant women need to try to remove as much stress from their lives as possible. Stress not only causes women to have issues during pregnancy, but it may also affect the baby. If some cases, large amounts of stress could make the baby come out too soon.

During the third trimester, you may find it more comfortable to sleep while lying on the left side of your body. This optimizes blood flow to the kidneys and uterus, and most importantly, your baby. Try to not sleep on your back, as you don’t get adequate blood flow in this position.

Use pictures and stories to be able to share your pregnancy with your baby when they get older. Kids are fascinated by photos of their mother with them “in their bellies.” Take a lot of pictures during each stage of pregnancy, and write down your thoughts into a journal that you can share with them later.

Pregnancy can make your nose more sensitive, causing everyday smells you barely noticed before to become nauseating. If you suffer from nausea, you may wish to carry a handkerchief which you have scented with lavender or lemon oil. Whenever you encounter an odor that makes you feel nauseous, simply pull the handkerchief from your pocket or purse and press it to your nose.

Learn the word “no” for those who want to stuff you with food when they see you. Though you should increase your calorie intake when pregnant, you should not be eating all the time. Saying that you’re thankful but don’t wish to eat at the time is something you need to practice doing.
