Keep a calorie journal so you can be aware of how many calories you are consuming each day. Do this by counting calories at every meal and tallying it up at the end of the day. Knowing how many calories you are eating compared to how much exercise you are doing helps you adjust your eating patterns to lose weight.

Use the staircases. One floor or ten, give it a try. As trivial as this may seem, climbing the stairs is a good cardio exercise. Your health will improve and your weight will drop. Once you have mastered taking the stairs, try sprinting up the stairs.

Be realistic when you are setting goals for your weight loss. It’s not possible to lose 50 pounds in a week. Realistic goals will give you the motivation of reaching those goals and help you continue your journey to weight loss. You also will not be setting yourself up for failure. Try setting a weekly goal of one half to two pounds lost.
